There's no shortage of fun things to do in Tampa Bay when the weekend rolls around! And since the red tide is keeping us off the beach (sad face), here are some ideas for fun more inland:
The Skyway 10k is this Sunday morning (3/12). The race takes runners over the northbound lanes of the Sunshine Skyway bridge; the NB lanes will be completely closed to vehicles from 3:30 Sunday morning until about 11am. Spaces are still open if you want to register! INFO HERE
The annual Food & Wine Festival at Busch Gardens kicks off this weekend! There are over 80 dishes, inspired by cuisine from around the world. Plus, every weekend features headline entertainment like Maddie & Tae (3/12), Dustin Lynch (3/19), Mackenzie Porter (4/2), Mitchell Tenpenny (4/16), Gabby Barrett (4/23) and more. Concerts are included with your park ticket! INFO HERE
The Florida Strawberry Festival wraps up this weekend. Sunday is the last day, and Lynyrd Skynyrd performs! All the info HERE
The Big Bounce America returns to Tampa Friday through Sunday at the Florida State Fairgrounds! I went to this last year and had a blast (yes, I'm 40. No, I don't have kids). It's the world's largest traveling bounce house (actually, there are several), and tickets are required. Both kid and adult-only sessions are available. Info HERE
Looking to do something outdoorsy? Check out Hillsborough River State Park, Weeki Wachee Springs State Park (mermaids!), go tubing on the Rainbow River, the Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach, or Three Sisters Springs
