If you are a cruise-lover, I'm sure there have been moments where you've thought, "Man, it would be so cool to live on the ship full time!" Well, your dreams are about to come true! If you've got the cash, that is.
Storylines is the first residential cruise ship in the world! It's got all the amenities of a typical cruise ship--world class dining, pools, a movie theater, gym, even a brewery--but this isn't for vacationers. It's for residents.
Staterooms aboard the ship come in 1-to 4-bedroom configurations and are fully furnished. Prices range from around $650,000 to $8 million, or you can lease your stateroom anywhere from 24 months, to the life of the vessel, and even sublease your stateroom when you're not using it. Living expenses include shore excursions as well! High-speed internet and workspaces are part of the amenities package, so if you had a work-from-home job, you could travel in style and not give up your career!
I think this would be a super cool thing to do for a year, especially if I could continue working while aboard. I don't think I'd want to live on the ship forever, but it would be a fun adventure for a little while! Of course, this would require me to have the bankroll to support the lifestyle...which isn't happening on a radio salary! But a girl can dream!
