Artemis I launches later this month from Cape Canaveral

NASA's Artemis I launch is scheduled for later this month, and I am PUMPED.

This launch is scheduled for the morning of Monday, August 29th, and will mark the start of a new project to get humans back on the moon as early as 2023...a human hasn't been to the moon since 1972! This launch will not be manned. The Artemis I rocket will travel over 300,000 miles, which is farther than a rocket built for humans has ever traveled before. If the tests are successful, this rocket will be used to carry a crew of astronauts back to the moon within the next year!

Artemis I will take off from launchpad 39B, the launchpad that astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins used for humanity's first moon mission (among many other launches!). The launch is currently scheduled for 8:33am on August 29th, but that is subject to change (weather is a huge factor).

You can get tickets to Kennedy Space Center and see the launch in person! Or you can watch live on the NASA YouTube channel (which is really good, and provides great insight into the mission).

To infinity and beyond!
