Army National Guardsman Brandon Whiteside has been in Iraq for the last nine months and thought his second tour of duty wasn’t going to end until next year, but he just made it back in time for the holidays. His wife, Angel, is expecting the couple’s fifth child any day, so having Brandon get home early is even better!
The couple wanted to do something fun to surprise their four kids with Dad’s return, so they kept it a secret and wrapped him up in a big box. When the kids got home, they unwrapped the huge present and out pops their father. It was the best gift the North Carolina family could have gotten...grab a tissue before you watch the video!
Brandon is now enjoying being at home with his family and happy he made it before their new baby did. He says there’s no surprise like being home for the holidays.
