We got a double dose of BIG NEWS from Carrie Underwood this morning! As you probably already know, Carrie has a new album, Cry Pretty, coming out in September. We just found out she's going on tour AND has a baby on the way!
Carrie announced the Cry Pretty Tour 360, which launches in May. And if you're thinking, "Why is she waiting till May if the album comes out in September?" Well, it's because she's pregnant! Carrie announced this morning that she and husband Mike Fisher are very excited to welcome their second child next year. While they haven't announced the little one's due date, I'm guessing the baby will arrive sometime in late February or early March, which gives Carrie 2 to 3 months at home before going back out on the road.
When her first child, Isaiah, was born, Carrie took him on the road with her, doing the mom thing during the day, and getting on stage after putting him to bed at night. We're assuming she'll be doing the same thing this time around.
Congrats to the Underwood-Fishers on their great news, and we can't wait for the tour! The only bad news is that the Cry Pretty Tour isn't coming to Tampa; the closest Carrie will be to us is Jacksonville. Let's all cross our fingers and hope she adds another leg to the tour so we can get a Tampa show!
