I'm a lifelong Floridian, and I'd say I'm pretty happy. I love living here. The weather, the beaches, the TONS of stuff to do...no snow, and no state income tax. Yes, yes, yes!
But according to this list of the happiest states in America, Florida isn't the place to be. We didn't even make the top 10. Or the top 20! WHAT?!
MagnifyMoney looked at health, income, cost of living, education, entertainment, and lifestyle factors to make the list of 10 happiest (and UNhappiest) states in America, and here's how it shook out.
MINNESOTA is #1?!? Are you kidding me!? Have you been to Minnesota in the winter? They obviously didn't consider that spending 8 months out of the year shoveling snow doesn't contribute to anyone's overall happiness.
Florida landed at #29 on the list.
Actually, maybe this is a good thing. Maybe all these snowbirds and northerners who keep moving down here will see how miserable we are at #29 and just go back to wherever it is they came from.
