Tax-free Week for Hurricane Prep Starts June 1

Believe it or not, hurricane season starts at the end of this week! Last year, when Hurricane Irma rolled through, I was without power for a few days, and many people throughout Tampa Bay (and all over Florida) went well over a week before the electricity and water were restored. Let's get prepared BEFORE another storm hits, y'all!

The Hurricane Tax-Free Week is from June 1 - 7! The tax break includes flashlights, batteries, gas containers, radios, generators, tarps, reusable ice packs, tie-down kits and ground anchor systems.

Water is not on the list.

The tax-free period starts at 12:01 a.m. June 1 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on June 7. CLICK HERE for a complete list of what's included.

Let this be the year you have everything you need before you need it. That way, you can be chillin at home with a cold one, while everyone else in town is getting into fistfights over the last pack of AA batteries at Walmart.
