My husband is one of those people who always has a hard time falling asleep. He says he can't turn his brain off, even if he's really tired. He's thinking of all kinds of stuff, sometimes stuff that's not even terribly important. Meanwhile, I fall asleep the second my head hits the pillow. I go-go-go all day, and then when I lie down, that's it. I'm done. Sleeping soundly on my side of the bed, while he's lying there wide awake, and mad at me because I sleep so easily.
Well, if you're one of those people who, like my husband, has a hard time falling asleep...here's a tip!
Make a list.
A new study from Baylor University found that when people write a to-do list before bed it actually helps them sleep better. It seems that writing it down before you go to sleep keeps you from thinking about all the things you need to get done. Like dumping your brain out on paper.
Once your thoughts are on paper, they're no longer in your head (at least, not at that moment), and you can fall asleep quicker. Give it a shot! I'd love to know if this works for you!

ps-- not getting enough sleep is REALLY bad for you. So figure out what helps you get more rest, and do it!
