There's only one way to cook a steak. Medium rare. Disagree? GET OUT.
Just kidding. Kinda.
According to this study of 100,000 adults, there's a connection between eating steaks well done and having high blood pressure.
Compared with fans of rarer meat, [well-done steak eaters] were 15 percent more likely to develop high blood pressure over 12 to 16 years.
The findings do not prove cause and effect, researchers said...but still. It's probably better to NOT cook the ever-loving crap out of it anyway. You know, for your health. Also, because why spend good money on steak only to turn it into shoe leather? Just sayin'. ;)
ps--this same article goes on to tell you that meat is unhealthy, which I wholeheartedly DISAGREE with. So, really, do what you want. No matter what choice you make, someone is going to tell you it's wrong. You do you. Except for overcooking steak. I was serious about that. Every time you overcook a good steak, the terrorists win.
