One of the things that irritates the *bleep* out of me is when I run into the store for a couple quick things, I grab what I need in 2 minutes, and then when it's time to pay for my items, it takes 20 minutes to get through the checkout line. Why is it that certain stores refuse to open more registers despite the fact that there is a line of people the length of the Great Wall of China trying to pay for their stuff and get the heck out of there? It's insane. And don't even get me started on self check out. I hate self checkout. NO, THERE IS NOT AN UNEXPECTED ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA, FOOLS!
Enter Amazon Go. It's a new grocery store concept that eliminates checkout lines. You do your shopping, and simply walk out the door. As you exit, sensors on your items are tracked and automatically billed to you through your Amazon account.
If this actually works the way it's supposed to, I think it's BRILLIANT. Check out more about Amazon Go HERE.
