Rays Drop Series To Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles (36-47) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (47-37) 5-1 on Sunday afternoon in Baltimore to win the three-game series between divisional rivals.

The Rays were not able to get anything going off Orioles starter Dean Kremer (7-7, 4.27) who pitched seven shutout innings win which he allowed three hits while striking out six and walking one. The Orioles offense was able to get five runs - all of them earned - off Rays starter Taj Bradley (5-6, 4.79) who pithed five and one-third innings and allowed eight hits.

The Rays now return home after a 4-2 road trip and will face the Athletics for a three-game series beginning on Tuesday night. Drew Rasmussen (7-5, 2.45) is scheduled to start for the Rays, and face Jacob Lopez (2-4, 3.56) for Baltimore.
