Orlando, FL - Walt Disney World will give Cinderella Castle, the centerpiece of the Magic Kingdom, a new color scheme designed to highlight the castle’s architecture and create a shimmering effect in Florida sunlight.

Disney revealed that the castle will be repainted in shades of gray, cream, and blue, with subtle touches of gold.

The company said the palette was chosen to enhance the castle’s design and make it visually striking from every angle.

An official artist’s rendering shows how the castle will look after the repainting is completed.

The update will be the first major color change since 2020, when the castle was painted in pink, blue, and gold tones to mark its 50th anniversary.

At that time, the colors were selected to enhance the fairy-tale appearance and complement the park’s lighting and overall aesthetic.

Disney has not provided a timeline for when work on the new color scheme will begin or how long the repainting process will take.

The company emphasized that this update is part of its regular maintenance and enhancement of the park’s iconic attractions to keep them visually appealing for guests.

No information has been shared regarding whether the repainting will impact nearby attractions or daily operations at the Magic Kingdom.
