A Palm Beach County judge has made an about-face in a request for bond from the lawyers of a mother charged in her child's death, even after calling the case "pretty egregious."

Heather Opsincs was back in court just days after Judge James Nutt had denied bond for the woman facing a manslaughter charge after her 5-year old son ingested meth while alone in a room at the Sands Hotel and Resort on Singer Island.

Police say Opsincs waited about an hour to call 9-1-1 after her son showed signs of an overdose. He later died at the hospital.

After a back-and-forth by attorneys on both sides, prosecutors approved of a plan to grant $100,000 bond to the mother, and the judge added several conditions including that she must submit to random drug tests at her own expense.
