A second Florida site offering the monoclonal antibody treatment for COVID patients opened Monday in Orlando.
"What we're doing, we started one in Jacksonville, we have one here at Camping World Stadium," Governor Ron DeSantis said. "This is going to be open seven days a week and is going to be able to treat up to 320 patients a day."
Governor DeSantis says if you test positive and especially if you're at risk for severe illness- you should undergo this free treatment.
"This has been shown to dramatically reduce the liklihood that you're admitted into the hospital. The data is very strong but then just talking to people and how much better they feel after doing this- it really is striking to be able to see that."
The first site opened in Jacksonville and the governor says more sites will open soon around the state.
