Broward County is recovering from yesterday's peaceful demonstrations that turned violent on the streets of Fort Lauderdale.
Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis says the National Guard has been able to stabilize the community after many storefronts on Las Olas Boulevard were smashed yesterday.
He believes outside agitators took to dangerous levels the peaceful demonstrations, which police assisted with.
As for the officer seen on video pushing a peaceful demonstrator on her knees... Trantalis says that officer has been suspended temporarily and is under investigation.
