Florida House Republicans have a new leader.
Representative Chris Sprowls was elected to lead the 120-member chamber for the next two years.
Sprowls is a 35-year-old who opposes abortion but wants his party to let their guard down about the issue of climate change.
He comes into power as all but one of Florida's statewide offices are occupied by Republicans.
Sprowls, will succeed Speaker Jose Oliva, R-Miami Lakes, after the November 2020 elections.
