(Panama City, FL) - A shark attack along Florida's Panhandle has left a Navy base employee with serious injuries.
The Panama City man was swimming near the marina at Naval Support Activity Panama City Monday when the shark made its move.
Capt. Tristan Oliveria, commanding officer of Naval Support Activity Panama City says the unnamed victim is reportedly a civilian employee with the Naval Surface Warfare Center who was swimming during his lunch break.
First responders administered medical aid at the scene to "stop the bleed" before transporting the victim to HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital.
The victim suffered severe injuries to both arms and remains in critical condition according to officials. It was all caught on video.
