Brett Young returned to The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday (October 22) to perform “Drink With You,” a single from his newest studio record. It marked the first time the country star has appeared on the show since making a major family announcement.
Kelly Clarkson said as she introduced Young that she “first met our next guest a few years ago, when he revealed the gender of his baby girl on the way. Now a girl dad of two, his new album is in many ways a tribute to his life as a country artist, a husband and a father.” Young, a proud “girl dad,” and wife Taylor Mills Young are parents to daughters Presley Elizabeth Young, who turned 6 on Tuesday (October 21), and Rowan Marie Young, born on July 21, 2021 (just a few months after the singer-songwriter made the gender reveal on The Kelly Clarkson Show).
Young performed “Drink With You,” one of 11 tracks on his latest album, 2.0, which released earlier this year. He explained in a previous statement shared by his record label that “‘Drink With You’ is a song about exes that can’t seem to make good decisions when they get together and there is alcohol involved. It’s a story as old as time about how it’s sometimes easy to fall back into old habits rather than move on.” Young wrote the song with Jesse Frasure, Tony Lucca and Emily Weisband.
Young is one of many artists taking the stage at the 2026 Stagecoach Festival, which returns April 24 through April 26 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson and Post Malone are set to headline the event. Other performers include Bailey Zimmerman, Riley Green, Journey, Brooks & Dunn, Hootie & the Blowfish, Ella Langley, Nate Smith, Chase Rice, Wynonna Judd, Little Big Town and many more.
