Kailey Dickerson shared adorable photos one week after welcoming Baby No. 2, along with a timeline that began when her husband, country star Russell Dickerson, was approximately a 10-hour drive away in Kansas City, Missouri.

The “God Gave Me A Girl” star was on his headlining “Big Wheels & Back Roads Tour” stop in Kansas City on Saturday, September 30, when he had to get home for the birth of his second son. Kailey said “it’s like he [Baby No. 2] knew he wanted every spare minute with his Dad while he is off the road,” when the Coffee with Kailey podcast host shared her birth story one week later, in an Instagram post on Sunday (October 8). “Same, lil man, same.”

The Dickersons announced on Saturday (October 7) that their newborn son, Radford Arthur Dickerson, made his arrival on October 1. Radford was born 10 days early, weighing 8 lbs, 14 oz, and measuring 20.5 in. Dickerson’s firstborn son, Remington Edward, who turned 3 last month, “is obsessed with being a super big brother,” they said as they shared the first heartwarming photos of Radford (“Lil Rad”).

“Early labor/mild contractions started while Russ was 10 hours away, on stage in Kansas City… 😅 they hauled it home on the bus and I tried to sleep to slow everything down,” Kailey wrote in her Instagram caption as she shared the timeline. “It worked till 5/6 am… Then I had to finish packing my bag and drive his truck to the hospital (with my mom in the passenger seat and my dad at home with Remy.) The bus pulled up to the hospital same time we were parking. We were reunited 10 min after I checked in (slide 5) and Rad man arrived 10 hours later 🥰”

The Dickersons announced earlier this year that Baby No. 2 was on the way. They posted a video at the time that captured the moment Kailey and Remington teamed up to tell the “Home Sweet” star that Kailey was pregnant, and the gender reveal. Dickerson’s next “Big Wheels & Back Roads Tour” date is set for October 26 in Cleveland, Ohio. Until then, he said on his Instagram story on Saturday that he’s “gonna hop off here for a minute and spend these few weeks unplugged. Soaking in fam time while we’re off the road for a little. See yall soon! ❤️”
