If you haven't listened to Dan + Shay's new album, Good Things yet, you're missing out. This is the album you want to listen to when you need to be put in a good mood. It's so uplifting!
The album just came out on Friday 8/13, and has already been certified Gold (!!!), and as of this morning, D+S's song, "Glad You Exist" is #1 on the country radio chart! Plus, it's Dan's birthday...basically, it's a great week for these guys! I've met Dan + Shay a couple times before and they are the kindest, coolest, most down-to-earth people, and it really makes me want to root for them. I love it when good things happen to good people.
Today, Dan + Shay called to talk about the new music, reflecting on the blessings in their lives, and being a liiiiiitle scared of forgetting the words to their songs once they get back on the road next month (lol!). Take a listen!
The photo was from Throwdown By the Bay in 2018, when I got to interview them backstage. That night, they played "Tequila" in front of a live audience for the first time right here in Tampa. Dan has told me previously that he still has a video on his phone from that night! Fun fact: Earlier this year, they played a private show for the Super Bowl Planning Committee and sang "Glad You Exist" for the first time in front of a live audience...also in Tampa! There's obviously something magical about these guys and our city!
