Mammogram bus coming to Hillsborough County!

The YMCA and Advent Health Mobile Mammography are teaming up to bring the mammograms to you! A mammogram bus will be coming to several locations in Hillsborough this month to provide breast cancer screening. Women age 40+ can reserve their slot for a mammogram at one of three sites. You will not need a prescription or referral; just bring your insurance information and pre-register for an appointment.

June 7:

YMCA, 3414 Culbreath Road, Valrico (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)

YMCA, 9650 Old Big Bend Road, Riverview (12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.)

June 23:

YMCA, 4411 S. Himes Ave., Tampa (12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.)

NOTE: If you recently received your COVID vaccine, you may want to wait up to 4 weeks before getting a mammogram--the vaccine can cause lymph nodes to temporarily enlarge, which could cause a false-positive reading in your mammogram.
