Kanye West releases presidential campaign ad

Kanye West has released the first ad for his presidential campaign.

In it, the rapper stands in front of a black-and-white American flag as he talks about faith and family.

He says, “America. What is America’s destiny? What is best for our nation? Our people? What is just, true justice? We have to think about all these things together as a people.”

Of faith, he said, “We as a people will revive our nation’s commitment to faith, to what our Constitution calls the free exercise of religion, including, of course, prayer. Through prayer, faith can be restored.”

Kanye will have a tough time getting votes, since he failed to file paperwork in time to get his name on the ballot in most states. He's asking for voters to write him in.

Honestly, it seems that Kanye is a very different person since becoming a Christian. He seems to really be leaning into his faith, and I certainly admire someone who is so bold in what they believe...but I think this is going to be a really tough push. It seems that his passion and platform could be used in better ways than a presidential run, if his aim is to inspire others to follow God.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this.
