Valrico,Fl.(Florida News Network)-Hillsborough County Deputies are searching for the gunman seen on surveillance video robbing a store clerk at a Shell Gas Station in Valrico. New video released from Saturday's robbery shows the man walking behind the counter demanding the clerk open the cash drawer. He then points the gun away from the clerk, firing a shot through a display shelf. The suspect is seen taking money out of the drawer before driving off from the station onto Lithia Pinecrest Road. The clerk was not hurt but Sheriff Chad Chronister says the suspect is considered especially dangerous since he fired his gun so close to the woman inside the store.
"This man entered a business with a loaded gun and was clearly not afraid to use it," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "We can only imagine how frightened the clerk must have felt when he pointed a gun at her, and even more so when he fired a shot at a display shelf just a few feet away. Our deputies are working hard to identify this masked gunman and we urge anyone how has information that could help detectives, to please come forward and help us get this suspect off the streets."
