I don't consider myself a very good baker, and I don't eat a ton of sweets...not because I don't like them, but because one cookie usually turns into 6 cookies, and I'd rather just avoid the temptation! And there are tons of copycat recipes for these cookies on the internet, but DoubleTree has released the ACTUAL recipe they use at their hotels, so you can make them at home!
More than 30 million are consumed every year, and the DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie even became the first food to be baked in orbit during experiments aboard the International Space Station.
