I'm sure cops have heard every excuse imaginable for why people choose to drive under the influence...but this is an angle I've never heard.
A man in the Seattle area was arrested after other drivers saw him driving erratically, speeding at over 100 miles per hour, hitting other vehicles, and leading police on a high-speed chase. When officers caught up to him, they saw he was high on drugs, and explained that he was teaching his dog to drive, so he could get home.
Well, that's a new one.
The dog was in the driver's seat, and the man was operating the pedals from the passenger side. Officers say the dog was friendly, and has been placed in a shelter for adoption. The man was arrested on multiple charges.
I'm just glad no one was hurt!
