ALL bars and nightclubs in FL to close for 30 days

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed an executive order today (Tuesday) that will close all bars and nightclubs in the state for 30 days to help control the spread of COVID-19. The closures will be effective as of 5pm this afternoon.

DeSantis said restaurants may remain open, but are being limited to 50% capacity, and tables must be placed at least six feet apart. All restaurant employees must be screened for the virus before continuing to work.

The governor also said he will not be ordering beaches to be closed; he is instead leaving that up to individual cities/counties. DeSantis has, however, banned gatherings of ten or more on beaches.

I would personally like to encourage all of you to support local restaurants by continuing to order take out and delivery! Uber Eats has waived delivery fees for independently-owned restaurants. You can also order carside pickup from many restaurants, and an employee will bring your order to your car so you don't have to come inside. We want you to be safe, but please continue to support local businesses whenever possible!
