It’s never fun to lose your phone, but when it happened to Lisa Troyer on the last night of her family’s Disney World vacation, she was beyond upset. The mom from Montana’s phone slipped out of her purse on the last night of their trip and fell into Disney’s Seven Seas Lagoon.
Troyer thought she’d never see the week’s worth of family vacation photos she had taken and her six-year-old daughter was especially devastated that she wouldn’t have the photos of her with Jack Skellington. But months after their October trip, Disney called to tell Troyer divers had recovered her iPhone 11 and it still worked!
“I was able to retrieve all of the pictures from our Disney Halloween night,” the mom says. “And besides some sand in my case and a little algae on the cover, the phone seems no worse for the wear.”
I had no idea Disney had divers for stuff like this. So happy this family got their photos (and that expensive phone) back!
