Music that simulates the sound of your car helps put babies to sleep

I don't have kids, but I've heard several parents say that a great trick for getting a baby to fall asleep is to drive them around in the car. But then you run the risk of waking them up when you need to take them back inside! Now there's a better solution!

Scientists in the UK worked with a music producer named Tom Middleton, and created a bunch of music that simulates the driving sounds that put kids to sleep.

The vibration of the road helps too, but it's mainly the sound of the car's engine, and the tires on the road, that really lull a baby to sleep.

They used a bunch of car sounds, like the engine hum and the air conditioner, and mixed it with ambient music, so the sounds are all pretty subtle.

They ended up with 15 minutes of calming music that supposedly puts kids to sleep, just like driving does.

The whole thing is part of a promo for the Nissan Leaf, their fully electric car that doesn't make any engine noise.

HERE is a link to the audio. I tried to post it here but it didn't want to embed.
