A family in Hernando County was on their way to the hospital because a family member was dealing with a medical emergency...when things got worse: They ran out of gas.
They called 911 and paramedics and firefighters showed up; the first responders treated the family member and were able to transport that person to the hospital.
But that's not all they did! They still had the problem of a car full of people with no gas. The first responders pushed the car about a quarter-mile, up a hill, to get the family to a gas station.
Thanks to the swift action -- and strong backs -- of the first responders, the family was able to continue on with their day and get to the hospital to offer their support where it was most needed.
This is just one example of all the ways our first responders go above and beyond every single day! THANK YOU, Hernando County Fire Rescue!
