There are contradictory reports this morning about how the Duggar family is under investigation by Homeland Security.
Agents reportedly raided the Arkansas home of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. A spokesperson from Washington D.C confirmed on Tuesday, “Homeland Security Investigations was present at the Duggar home pursuant to an on-going federal criminal investigation.”
Homeland Security agents investigate a wide range of crimes, including money laundering, human trafficking, weapons smuggling and transnational gang activity.
However, the 19 Kids and Counting reality show family denied in a statement they were raided saying, "To the best of our knowledge, it's also not true that any member of our family is the target of any investigation. Living a life in the public's eye has taught us that it is best not to reply to every rumor and piece of ‘fake news.’”
I've certainly learned not to believe everything I read, but could this be true? I have such a hard time believing it, considering the "wholesome" brand this family has built their fame upon. However, one of those Duggar boys was busted for touching his sisters inappropriately and meeting a call girl on Ashley Madison (a dating website for cheaters), so I guess anything is possible! I'm very interested to see how this plays out.
