Y'all. I woke up VERY excited today because I knew I'd be talking to Kenny Chesney! I've been lucky enough in my career to get to interview some pretty amazing and talented artists--and as a genuine fan of country music, it's a HUGE deal to me--but it's not often I get to speak with an artist of Kenny's caliber. He's got 30 #1 songs, has sold over 30 million albums, tons of awards and millions of concert tickets sold. He's kind of a big deal. So, I'm sure it goes without saying that I was pretty jazzed when I booked an interview with him today!
Kenny called to talk about the Chillaxification Tour, returning to Tampa, his first concert, and working with Ed Sheeran. Aaaand while I had him on the phone, I had him record a little contest for us...thought that might be a fun way to give away tickets (keep in mind, that was recorded, so we won't be doing the giveaway at whatever moment you're listening).
