Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios this morning and it is AMAZING. I was lucky enough to get into the land on a preview on Tuesday afternoon and IT WAS EPIC. Here are a few highlights from our trip.
PRO TIP: I learned from a Disney Cast Member that there's a bit of a lull in attendance in the second week of September, and again just after New Year's Day. So if you are able to take a weekday off and check it out during those times, you'll be able to avoid some of the bigger crowds.
I FLEW THE MILLENNIUM FALCON. It was AWESOME. Smuggler's Run is the current ride at Galaxy's Edge, with a second ride (Rise of the Resistance) to open in December. You're going to love it!
I met R2D2!
I played with a lightsaber!
I built a droid!
I got cool pictures! If you go to Galaxy's Edge, take advantage of the photo ops. If you have the Disney app, your photos will sync with the app so you don't have to print anything. There are cast members on hand to take photos at designates spots, so be sure to look for them!
T doors opened at 6am, and was PACKED with fans. Definitely make a point to get down here to check it out!
