Maybe all my workouts and food prep are just a waste of my time, if it turns out I could have just been drinking coffee instead. According to a new study out of England, drinking coffee just might help you burn off fat.
The researchers found that coffee can stimulate something called "brown fat" in your body. That's a special kind of fat that heats up and burns calories.
Now, I don't think that means you should start drinking 5 pots of coffee every day in an attempt to be skinny...and I'm guessing that loading down your coffees with cream and sugar probably isn't doing you any favors. The researchers say more studies are needed.
Ok, so maybe I'll stick with the clean eating and exercise AND drinking coffee!
