It's time to cut negative people out of your life

FACT: Negative people are harmful to your health.

Sure, we all have bad days. Even the happiest person alive is going to have a rough day every once in a while, and will likely want to vent their frustration. I get it. That's fine. But if you are someone who finds fault in EVERY LITTLE THING, it's time to do a little self-reflection and get your mind right. This study has found that constantly complaining and finding the worst in every scenario actually rewires your brain to be more anxious and depressed. Not to mention that negativity is a super unattractive personality trait.

The more you complain, the more likely you are to choose negative over positive thinking in the long run. So basically, each time you complain, your brain is actually physically rewiring itself, making it easier to adapt to that reaction in the future. The results are clear: negativity breeds more negativity.

The more you complain, the more your cortisol levels increase. Cortisol is your stress hormone, and high levels of cortisol are associated with health problems like increasing depression, insomnia, digestive problems, high blood pressure, and even increasing the risk of heart disease.

There’s an old adage that says Show me your friends and I'll show you your future, meaning, you become who your friends are. That just shows how important it is to choose to surround yourself with quality people! We begin to share personality traits with the ones we spend the most time with. So even if you're a positive person, spending time around negative people can turn you into one!

It is literally bad for your health to spend your precious time around people who drag you down!
