It’s never too late to have your American dream come true and 103-year-old Andrea Joseph is living proof! She was just sworn in as a United States citizen on Flag Day in Miami. The centenarian has been waiting for this moment since immigrating to the U.S. from Haiti as a permanent resident over 15 years ago.
Her family was surrounding her as Joseph held up her certificate of citizenship and they couldn’t be more proud. “She’s a matriarch, so she's definitely setting an example that no matter how old you are, you can still accomplish your goals, your dreams, your vision,” McKenzie Fleurimond says of his great-grandaunt.
Congratulations, Andrea!
