Your grandpa probably used to say it: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!
A Florida man spend $9100 at auction on what he thought was a $177,000 villa. Turns out, what he actually bought was a 1 x 100 foot strip of grass that divides two villas in Broward County. Now he claims the county scammed him into buying the land, and intentionally failed to disclose the details of the property...which is worth about $50. He's now trying to get his money back and cancel the transaction, but the Broward County government says they don't issue refunds.
Ok, I admit, I laughed pretty hard at this. But I really do hope he's able to sort this out and get his money back. It seems like mistakes were made on both ends and I hope it's resolved.
