Jupiter is putting on quite a show! It's about to come closer to Earth than it has been in a long time, and astronomers say we'll be able to see Jupiter with no assistance from a telescope.
Monday, June 10th, will be the best day for viewing. You'll be able to see Jupiter with nothing more than your eyeballs, even if you're in a place with a lot of light. And with a pair of binoculars, you'll even be able to see some of Jupiter's several moons. With a telescope (even a small one), you'll be able to make out the planet's red cloud bands, and Jupiter's famous Great Red Spot.
That is super cool!
