Dr Beach has put out their annual list of Best Beaches in the US for 2019. Honestly there are a few surprises on here... St Pete Beach didn't make the list, and neither did Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, which has been #1 several times. Only TWO Florida cracked the top 10, and only ONE is in the Tampa Bay area.

- Coast Guard Beach, Cape Cod, Massachusetts
- Caladesi Island State Park Dunedin/Clearwater, Florida
- Hapuna Beach State Park, Big Island, Hawaii
- Coronado Beach, San Diego, California
- Beachwalker Park Kiawah Island, South Carolina
