Baylee Littrell, Brian Littrell's Son, Releases New Song "Boxes"

Baylee Littrell may only be 16 years old, but he's already following in his father's (Backstreet Boys' Brian Littrell) musical footsteps. After releasing his debut single "Don't Knock It" in November 2018, the rising country artist is back with a brand new single called "Boxes."

"Boxes" was written by Daniel Ross, Steven Lee Olsen, and Jesse Lee, and is all about the perfect girl — the girl who checks all of Littrell's boxes. Baylee sings in the song's chorus, "Take me out the game, check please/ Baby you were made for me/ What else can I say/ Girl, you're flawless/ You check all my boxes."

While Brian Littrell has created an empire with the Backstreet Boys in the pop music world, Baylee has his sights set on country music. He told PEOPLE last year of why it's his favorite genre, "You can't relate to any other song like you can to a country song, and that's why I bonded with it so much and that's why it's my favorite genre. If I was ever going through a breakup or hard time, I always listened to country music — it's Luke Combs or something super country that tells a story."

However, despite Baylee's love for classic country, in the same interview, he revealed that it was BSB's collaboration with Florida Georgia Line, "God, Your Mama, and Me," that really inspired him to incorporate more of a modern country vibe into his music.

You'll definitely want to keep your eye on Baylee as he is just getting started. Littrell is set to perform during this year's CMA Fest, which takes place June 6-9, and he'll be performing on the Maui Jim Broadway Stage. Then, he'll join his dad and the rest of the Backstreet Boys as they hit the road for their "DNA World Tour," which will take him to 30 cities across the US and Canada. Littrell will be opening the show.
