Great news, beer drinkers! 7-Eleven will start delivering beer! They're testing their new beer delivery service in 18 markets across the US, and Tampa is one of the test markets!
Download the 7-Eleven app, and click on something called "The Beer Necessities," (I see what you did there!), make you selection, and arrange for the delivery.
I'm assuming there will have to be some safeguards in place to keep underage people from ordering, and I'm hoping (for the sake of the delivery drivers) that the delivery people won't have to go into customers' homes.
I think this is great for a few reasons. I mean, convenience, obviously. But if you've got a party going and everyone's been drinking, the last thing you want is an intoxicated person getting in the car to go for a beer run. This way, the drunk people don't have to drive when they run low on beverages. Nice work, 7-Eleven!

And for fun, here are some facts about the health benefits of drinking beer from Thrillist:
1. It reduces the risk of kidney stones. A recent study found one beer a day can lower your risk by 41%.
2. It can help replenish you after a workout. The carbs in the beer are good after you've just burned a bunch of calories. And studies have found it might be better than water when you're dehydrated.
3. It's good for your bones. A study at the University of Texas found that an occasional beer can actually increase bone density.
4. It might help prevent Alzheimer's. The science is still out. But some researchers think trace amounts of aluminum in our body has something to do with Alzheimer's. And a study in Spain found two beers a day can limit its ability to damage your brain.
Cheers!
