Have you seen one of these toads near your home? It's a Bufo Toad, or Cane Toad, and experts say they're in Florida and multiplying rapidly.
They're native to Africa, and are invasive. Several of the toads have been found in Southeast Florida, including in people's pools and lanais. Wildlife officials say they thrive in Florida because of our warm climate, though they're not native to the Sunshine State.
The toads secret a toxin that could kill pets and harm children, and we could be seeing a lot more of them in the bear future, because the toads reproduce roughly every 22 days.
