Do you remember that movie, The Rock, with Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery, about breaking into/out of Alcatraz? Well, it looks like that might not have been too far off the mark!
Scientists have recently discovered a series of rooms and tunnels beneath the famous prison--that was supposedly impossible to break out of! Alcatraz was a prison from 1934 to 1963, and remains open as a tourist attraction as part of the National Park Service.
Radar scans have discovered the hidden tunnels, that also contain ammunition and other objects. Now an exploration is pending to see what else is down there!
