On April 13, a retailer in Texas notified the FDA that their customer had presented samples of a 13-ounce-can of Cocolicious Beef & Turkey dog food from Party Animal Pet Foods (Lot #0136E15204 04, best by July 2019) and 13-ounce-can Cocolicious Chicken & Beef dog food (Lot #0134E15 237 13, best by August 2019) to a testing lab, and that the results had tested positive for pentobarbital.
Pentobarbital is used as an animal euthanasia drug! PLEASE check your cans, and if you have this food, DO NOT give it to your dogs!
If you have a can of the affected dog food, return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Retailers are being notified to isolate the cans and not to sell them.
