Meet John and Charlotte Henderson. They are 106 and 105 years old, respectively. They're about to celebrate their 80th wedding anniversary! And Guinness just certified them as the oldest couple in the world!
The Henderson's love story has truly stood the test of time! John and Charlotte met in 1934 while both attending the University of Texas. They married in 1939 during the Great Depression and spent just $7 on the hotel room for their honeymoon. For the past 84 years, he's held a tradition of attending at least one Texas Longhorn football game each year. Both are still very healthy, and John exercises every day.
So what's the secret to a long life and happy marriage after all? Live life in moderation and be cordial to your spouse, John said.
