Congratulations, New York …You are the least friendly state in America. Yep, according to a survey by travel site Big 7, New York is dead last on the friendly state list. On the other end of the scale is Minnesota – the friendliest state in the nation.
I'm not really surprised to see that so many of the friendliest states are in the South! We are known for our hospitality down here!

Here's where it gets weird. Florida came in at #8 on the least-friendly list. That means there are 41 other states where people are friendlier than us! I'm going to state an opinion that might not be very popular here, so you might want to sit down:
An average of 900 people move to Florida every day. 900 PER DAY. Florida has the second-fewest natives of ANY state. So it seems to me that if Florida is deemed as "unfriendly," it isn't because of the natives...it's the transplants. For real, if you move here, you better paint a smile on your face and be nice because we don't want you giving the rest of us a bad name! #SorryNotSorry Don't send me nastygrams!
