Any time there's a crazy thunderstorm, I think most of us assume we're safe inside our vehicles...WRONG! If you've ever wondered what it's like when your vehicle gets struck by lightning, well...here it is!
A woman in Hillsborough County captured video of a vehicle at the moment it was struck by lightning on I-75! She was in a vehicle riding behind another vehicle that her husband was driving, and decided to take some photos of the sky, since there was a thunderstorm happening with lots of lightning in the area. She happened to catch the exact moment a bolt of lightning struck the truck her husband was driving, and the lightning seemed to travel toward her vehicle as well! All of the truck's electronic components are destroyed, but the people inside are all fine!
This is the third moving-target lightning strike in Florida the last couple weeks!
