This is the age where you should have your life together

So what’s the age when you should have your life together? According to a new survey, that age is 39.

Well that's some great news! I turn 36 at the end of this week, so I that means I have a few more years to get myself in line!

So what do they mean when they say, "get your life together?" Apparently, a person "has it together" if they have a steady job, a good romantic relationship, and a group of friends.

Other benchmarks according to the survey: At 29, the average adult should have a solid group of friends, and by 31, they should have met and fallen in love with "the one."

I think 31 is young for "the one;" I got married at 30, but I know other people who are closer to 40 and haven't found their person. I also know people who got married at 22 and divorced by 30, so sometimes it takes a while!

I feel like this survey is putting a lot of unnecessary pressure on us...I think if you can hold down a job, manage to put on clean clothes every day, show  up to places on time, and tip your server well and be nice to people, you're doing good! Don't freak out! lol!

Other results:

  • 44% of those surveyed said they didn't think they’d ever have their lives completely together.
  • 25% said their love life was a disaster.
  • 16% said their job was the biggest hurdle to getting their lives together.
  • 14% of 18- to 29-year-olds surveyed said they were too young to worry about “grown-up” issues.
  • 78% said they are struggling to stay on top of things

And for fun, here's a clip from Joe Rogan's podcast/YouTube channel on getting your life together (ps--he says there's no magic age!)
