The Best Moments at the ACM Awards

posted by Sarah Jacobs -

I've gotten to the point where I only watch an awards show if it's a country music awards show. The ACM Awards were last night from Vegas, and it was a good show!

The show opened up on a somber note, as artists paid tribute to those affected by the Route 91 Harvest Festival last October in Las Vegas. I like that they addressed this before doing anything else. Very classy.

Reba opened the show with a GREAT monologue ("I guess they finally figured out that it only takes one woman to do the work of two men," YAAAS QUEEN!), and there were some great performances. Here are my faves, including Carrie Underwood (she's BACK, y'all!), Reba and Kelly Clarkson, and Little Big Town. Enjoy!

Reba Opens the 53rd ACM Awards 2018

Here she is, your 53rd Annual #ACMawards host, the legendary Reba McEntire! Who’s ready to get this party started?!

Here's Reba telling updating us on Chris Stapleton...he won 4 awards last night, he and his wife welcomes twins into the world, AND it was his birthday! Hard to top that day! Congrats to Chris and Morgane Stapleton!

Carrie Underwood returned to the stage to perform her new song "Cry Pretty," and she KILLED IT. Carrie is one of the best singers on the planet, hands down, no question about it. She looked incredible too.

Little Big Town performed Elton John's "Rocket Man," and looked like they robbed clothes from Elton's closet in the 70s...it was weird and space-y and awesome.

Maren Morris sang "Rich" and made me want to be her.

Kenny Chesney played his new song, "Get Along," and it's got me pretty excited for his show in Tampa on Saturday!

And finally, Jon Pardi performing "Chattahoochee" with Alan Jackson. So good. Jon looked like he was having the time of his life on stage with one of his idols, and this song instantly transports me back to childhood. So fun!

So what did you think of the show??
