It's National Coffee Day!

I've been a coffee drinker all my life. When you grow up in a Cuban/Sicilian family, coffee is a requirement.

So I'm pretty happy about it being National Coffee Day today! Here are some places to get cheap or free coffee in Tampa Bay!

Dunkin Donuts: buy one get one free on a medium or larger coffee

Kahwa Coffee:  Signature Series No. 3, a medium dark roast, being sold with proceeds to Hurricane Irma relief and other charities.

Nature's Food Patch: The Clearwater organic grocer will have fee cups of organic and fair trade coffee at its coffee bar on Friday. 1225 Cleveland St. Clearwater.

Krispy Kreme: The doughnut shops are making it a whole coffee weekend. Get one free hot coffee, any size, or small iced premium blend per day Friday through Sunday. See krispykreme.com for locations.

Cinnabon: Offering free 12 oz. coffee on all day Friday.

7-Eleven: All 7Rewards members, or those who have downloaded the app, get a free coffee of any size Friday through Sunday. One free coffee per day.

Atlas Coffee Club: A new startup, this travel-themed coffee of the month club is celebrating with a bag free of coffee for each new customer (though you need to cover shipping). See atlascoffeeclub.com. Use discount code: AtlasCoffeeDay17.

Wawa stores will offer customers free coffee of any size. The convenience store chain has five locations in Manatee County and one in Sarasota County. The company expects to serve more than 2 million free cups of coffee at its more than 730 locations.

Starbucks is taking a slightly different approach. The coffee giant isn’t handing out free cups of java goodness but rather is donating a coffee tree on behalf of each customer who purchases a brewed Mexico Chiapas coffee in a participating U.S. and Mexican stores.
