Last King Tides Of The Year Expected This Weekend

The last round of King Tides for the year expected to start this Sunday. Miami's Chief Resilience Officer Jane Gilbert says the tides have been extra high this year, 15 inches above predictions. Scientists think a warmer than usual summer and fall may play a role since the heat makes water expand. If you're caught in a high tide, try not to walk or drive though standing water, unblock any storm drains near your property and put sandbags by your door if needed.
